The Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory (GDCO) is governed by the Gravity Discovery Centre Foundation Board who lead our strategic direction and growth. The Board brings together highly talented scientists, educators, researchers, communicators and industry leaders with relevant knowledge, experience and professional networks.
We are planning to modernise the facilities, grow capacity and strengthen our capability to secure our position as the go-to science attraction in Australia.

GDCO operations are managed by CEO Jan Devlin with support from the GDCO management team.
The Gravity Discovery Centre Foundation was incorporated in 2001 (under the Associations Incorporation Act 1987), and the public education/visitor centre (Gravity Discovery Centre) opened in 2004. The Objects of the Foundation are to promote, encourage and provide appropriate opportunities for the education of the general community in aspects of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics with particular emphasis on gravity, astrophysics, cosmology and their relation to art, culture, aboriginal spirituality, and the environment
At a healthy 21 years old, the GDC has a strong brand and presence so the strategy will including retaining the current brand position whilst expanding to a “Space & Gravity Discovery Centre”.
The revision of exhibits, reformatting of the center and increased focus on technology careers inspired by the full space sector supply chain. Western Australia is leading the world in many digital technologies that will continue to power the State’s future.The Centre is perfectly positioned to inspire science and STEM through space and universe education. Along side this we will align the ancient traditional culture further building on its position as the world’s prime tourist destination for the Aboriginal view of the Universe, a unique and rewarding experience for young and old.
The Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory is a not-for-profit organization that relies on others to share the passion. The GDC Board is acknowledged for their contribution. As a volunteer board their time, expertise and guidance is invaluable.

The GDC employs four full-time staff and nine casuals and four staff volunteers.

The Board of Directors provides governance, oversite, strategy, and advocacy on a probono basis.
All Directors are by-election aside from one appointment each from UWA and Curtin University. These are listed in the annual report released publicly via the GDC website.
